So I opted my vacation time to be more of a “stay-cation”. While I loved sleeping in yesterday on Monday, Tuesday afternoon seems like a bit of a drag. I’m so bored that i feel I’m lonely. I guess there is a ton of things I could be doing. I just don’t feel like doing them.
Blahhh blah… Social media. I guess I could go run! And then church tonight :)

She is going to do such amazing things because she is a great example of what a servant of the Lord looks like. She’ll probably kill me if she ever reads this. But as I sit here watching her graduation ceremony, I am flooded with memories of our college years together and I am so grateful to have had someone like Adriann in my life.

If I would to write the truth, it would be a little something like this;

A little fact and a little bit of a lie, mostly up to the reader to the decide.

I couldn’t tell the truth about myself because that would be too painful to admit to you and must less to myself.

So, i’d tell it under the pretense that maybe i’m making it up.

I would like to give the stories and people in my life a little bit more color. I’d make the stories more dramatic or less dramatic, whatever fits. I’d give the people more pain and redeeming qualities than they actually posess.

If I were to tell the truth, I would lie about it.

I could never tell the difference between fiction and non-fiction. It is and always will be one of those things my mind confuses.

I asked someone once if they could help me come to a conclusion on what was and what was not and the end result was two stories similar but not the same wondering if there was a third party there to help cloud our vision.

This is why I did not tell the truth because if I did it would be something like this:

My friend Yessy played this song for her “Who am I” presentation and I feel as though it also describes my journey in nursing school as well. There has been ups and down and flips and turns on this Journey and it would have been easy to give into my fears, “your just simply not good enough”. But God is so awesome and powerful and loving and kind that he found ways to reassure me through: scripture, church, friends, and family. My hope in Christ alone has been proven to be hard to kill; not through my strength but simply by God’s grace :-)

For all the people that has prayed for me… Thank You!!!!

An excerpt from my nursing philosophy paper:

As a caterpillar becomes a butterfly so is the student becoming a nurse. At times the process may be ugly but the end result is beautifully given wings to fly and embrace life. I am on a never-ending path to become the person that God has created me to be. I came into nursing fearless, ready to be the best nurse that I could be. I have learned that the absence of fear is recklessness. I came to school with more answers than questions and I am leaving with more questions than I can answer. Am I ready to be a nurse? Can I finish the task that God has given me? If the absence of fear is recklessness, then courage is pressing on with fear. Galatians 6:9 says, “don’t be weary in well-doing” (King James Version). Sometimes it may be tiring to try and always be a servant, but with God all things are possible (King James Version). I am courageously embarking on a journey that is unknown, but I am comforted in that God says, “I know the plans that I have for you” (Jeremiah 19:11).

So I must admit that today got off to a slow start lol lol (why do I love sleep so much!?!) but then it was POPPIN for lunch with my dear sister Ada !!! Joe’s sushi was absolutely lovely :)

My mom and my brother then came over and I gave them an ever so wonderful tour of CBU … looking back there are soo many memories here ..*nostalgia

Once the tour was over we went to the mission inn to look at the lights and all the festivities … lol My favorite part was my mom trying to make us run and take a picture in front of the horse and carriage as they went bye bye lol lol and then her saying “don’t put that picture of me on FB, I don’t like it” lol lol

Buttt the best partof the day was an undiscovered treasure! El Fallarno !!! umm How did I go to CBU all these years and not know that this place existed ??? SALSA DANCING!!! k so the place wasn’t packed but its a great place to learn because its FREE and fun!!!

Well tomorrow is pinning and friday is graduation.. Don’t know how I feel about that …

it is very confused, like I don’t have any control over it!

When my brain is supposed to think and do something productive it gets very very sleepy, but when my brain is supposed to veg-out it’s like super wide awake i.e. staying up until four in the morning watching tv versus falling asleep at 3:30pm while doing homework

Such a good day!!

Started off decorating a Christmas tree to be auctioned off to charity

Then I got to see my wonderful Kaitlyn and we were able to cook together (by “together” I mean I sat and watched her cook lol)

After that I was able to beg Erika and Bethy to come see a movie with me lol and by movie I mean “BREAKING DAWN” AGGGGGHHH!!!

So friggin amazing!!! This was the first movie that made me want to read the books!!!

Now, I’m at home loving life. This past couples of days have been absolutely wonderful J

So I went to a ceremony called “Light up a life” hosted by the Visiting Nurses Association and it was basically a memorial for all the people that died on hospice

It got me thinking about all my loved ones who have gone to be with the Lord (aka died)

Uncle Joseph I miss your smile and your laugh and how you always called us the chicken family lol and you always gave out the most money on Christmas… man IMY!! Muah

Aunt titi I miss yo cookin!!! Mmph you made the best dog-on fried fish I ever ate J I remember the dresses you made us that got passed around the ENTIRE family lol (they were sooo itchy)
